Literature Text

Among the tales of the sailors three,

Nathaere's was the strangest, unarguably.

She was from the domain that none recall,

Whereupon her adventure did befall.

Oh hey there, Nathaere;

A voice croaked with wear,

I have jewels and trinkets,

For thine glorious hair.

Unwise a move for this poor old soul,

For a dagger to puncture his brain bowl.

Yet again another voice was heard,

Solemn of voice but quirky of word.

Oh hey there, Nathaere;

Come out to our fair,

We shant tell you where,

Though we promise treasure,

More than you can bear.

Ne'er a woman for inaction was she,

Roof to roof she lept, soaring free,

Her thoughts now filled with riches,

Piled farther than the eye can see.

Oh hey there, Nathaere;

Bless thine horns

And your barbed tail

On this quest you've borne,

That you dare not fail.
Written for a character in the DnD campaign I'm currently in.

RETROSPECTIVE EDIT: The poem ended up doing more justice than the player did. If the game can't be taken seriously, then how can you?
